AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURING

Aviation sector has emerged as one of the most rapidly developing sectors in India. India is currently considered as the 3rd largest domestic civil aviation market in the world and its aviation industry is expected to witness Rs 35,000 crore (US$ 4.99 billion) investment in the next four years. The Indian Government is planning to invest US$ 1.83 billion for development of airport infrastructure along with aviation navigation services by 2026.

Aircraft manufacturing involves the manufacturing of the aircraft body along with the software and components required for the functioning of aircraft. Aircraft manufacturing can be classified into a defence and a commercial segment. The major players in the global aircraft manufacturing market are The Boeing Company, Airbus Group, Lockheed Martin Corp., BAE Systems PLC and Bombardier Inc.

Even though, the aviation sector in India has witnessed a tremendous change in both Civil and Military aviation in the last couple of years, we were focused on manufacturing military aircrafts. India’s state-run company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) manufactures its own Military technology aircrafts. Despite an aviation Boom in India, our country still operates on planes built by foreign manufacturers in the field of civil aviation.

With the dream of getting India, an indigenously made aircraft, Anantavayu Aerospace Limited, AAL aspires to emerge as a manufacturer of civil aviation aircrafts. Collaborating with Antonov Company, AAL aims to design and manufacture a selected range of aircrafts that were carefully selected which are ideal for Indian operating conditions. Indian carriers are projected to increase their fleet size to 1,100 by 2027, to be able to handle the surge in air travel. AAL aims to join this market and contribute to India’s own manufactured aircrafts and thus support the nations UDAN-Regional Connectivity scheme and thus boost the economy. A variety of aircraft models have been selected such as: An-148, An-158, An-178, An-74 and An-132; with both passenger and cargo capabilities.
